8-N

November 8th, yesterday, was a big day for many Argentinians. Throughout the whole world, the citizens or loyal aliens of the country stood up against the corruption and inequalities that the government brought and still brings to it's people.

To explain matters a little deeper, most Argentinians feel cheated by the President (see one of previous blogs) because she treats the poor and 'unfortunate' better than the middle, working class. What is wrong with helping the poor? The problem comes when the poor take advantages of the government, advantages like money rather than education *. The men and women who work and get rob daily, protest for the 35 percent of their income that is taken off their wallets to bring them the same broken highways of always, the protest for calling their spouse at night to make sure that there is no one at the side walk so they can open the garage door with no fear of any person waiting with a revolver at hand. There are many examples and reasons, yet you should get the idea, dear reader. Those who are not being paid to breed, have had enough and have come back yet again to claim for fairness in a peaceful way.

At least 2 million people have showed at the Plaza de Mayo, the park in front of the Pink House **(Sounds and looks like a Club) for 8-N, and could be said that the same amount of people showed up in the other locations used to protest: City of Cordoba, Mendoza, Sidney, Vienna, Berlin, Rome, etc.

Where the idea of a protest began, I do not know, and believe it will never we known, but the event was well spread with the help of internet and social websites.

Of course, even if the protesters joined each other at a certain time and place, all showing their frustration with signs and drumming casseroles (aka, 'cacerolazo'), I am sure that most do not know what to or how to change to create a better future for the country. Although they want education and security (main issues), the Argentinian people are not used to solving such problems in a orderly and usefull-for-many-generations-to-come manner.

Even after what I've said, I'm terribly proud of those who went out there to protest for their rights. When they sang the anthem, I couldn't hold myself back from singing with them too. Every little movement to make people notice the magnitude of unhappy voices that want to be heard, is a small step to a possible brighter future. Sooner or later, something will happen, something big that will change the country, for the good or worse, I don't know that either, but I trust my people to work for what is right, at last.

I believe that after lives that suffered pain and frustration, someone will emerge to dig Argentina out of its hole.

(Interview of protestant coming soon)

 * This sounds and is very bias. If I could talk to anyone who supports the president, then maybe I would consider their opinions and reasoning, but since I know none, excuse me with my sincere apologies of showing you such unfair accusations without a way for others to present their cases and counter arguments.

Apples to Apples 2

Out of the 88 people I was going to ask my question of "Do you know how to peal an apple?" and " Which on of the sexes do you think knows how to peal an apple the most?", I only got to ask 20 people...

I know....To measure out 'who exactly knows to peal an apple the most' I need more guys and girls than that... But it is something, so I'll just type down the information that I got from these 20 peeps.

The boy's statistics...
50% know how to peal an apple.
Only one said that the male population knew how to peal an apple the most.

The girl's statistics...
80% knows how to peal an apple.
100% said that the female population knew how to peal an apple the most.

In the end, I think it's pretty obvious who we think peals an apple the most, although 50% of the guys whom I asked actually did know how to (Which sincerely surprised me, sorry boys...)

Now, the question that we have all been waiting for. Why is this so important???
Answer~! Because, dear peeps, this shows how women still today are looked down upon to house chores and taking care of the family. Instead of thinking that women go to work to discover the cure of cancer, society still thinks that women practice on how to peal a freaking apple. Maybe it's because your mom bakes apple pies and you see her pealing apples, or maybe when you were sicky your grandma pealed you an apple so you would choke on the skin of it, I don't know, but apparently we still belong in the kitchen or taking care of sick children.

It's not like being caring and nice is a bad thing, what would be do without our mother being there when we need her the most? I don't know how we are going to change this universal mentality, but at least most people know about the argument that women do not belong in their homes, but outside doing their what they want and still taking care of their families like dads do, and that's a start to a more equal world :D

Anyways, I did this to prove to my mom that girls know how to peal apples more than guys, so, Hah!! I win mother, dear! Muahahahahahahaha!

Apples to Apples

Today, while learning how to accurately peal an apple, my mind turned all feminist on me, and it was like: "Guys don't know how to peal apples!? So why should I!?" *Throws apple out the window*

Then my mom told me that they did, and I said they didn't, and she said they did. So, I decided to ask guys and girls if they know how to peal an apple and who they think knows how to do it, too. Starting today!! (Wednesday 10th, of October)

Stay tuned and see who's right!

(Look out for me, I'm seriously doing this...)

Trust?

This October 7th, yesterday, Venezuela had it's elections.
Why is this important? I don't know, it may change depending on you...

Hopefully, you know that Hugo Chavez is the president of Venezuela and that he is an interesting fellow, have being in power since 1999 and being re-elected until 2019, as well as being a comrade of the Communist brothers, Fidel and Raul Castro, and the Socialists leaders, Evo Morales of Bolivia, Rafael Correa of Ecuador, and Daniel Ortega of Nicaragua.
These words, "comrade", "Communist", "Socialits", blah blah blah, should or maybe are raising your anti-US-beliefs antenna up. Yes, understandable, we should all be concerned of "the reds", but their ideals aren't evil. Our humanity makes them what they are, and I'm afraid that yet again, human greed has made Hugo Chaves powerful again.

South America isn't the most just continent of the world, we are pretty awful. Our culture is to benefit ourselves and let the others live their lives, without giving them a single look (Unless they have material things more modern than us.) We are greedy, and don't even try to conceal our ways of stealing others.

Now that we got that clear, you can interpret that most South Americans like to be powerful and have stuff.

The Argentinian president, Christina Kirschner, also got re-elected last year, and although most Argentinian people who I've talk with hate her, she still won with a 54 percent. This statistic screams suspicious. Could she had manipulated the electoral vote people to win the elections? Of Course. She already sends people to stave others to death, she steals from people's pockets and gives no public service or structures. She's a great lady, so pretty too.

Oh yeah.
...

....

Where am I going to with this? Don't trust the South American government. I don't know much about Chaves, but in Argentina, the government is dirty like a freshly pooped diaper. You can't trust them. Since Kirschner and Chavez are friends, my guts tells me that they are from the same side, that they will do anything to stay in power. The South American people of every country know about this, but are too lazy to do anything, whose who can't take it any more, leave the country because they can't fight against them.

Who knows, someday it may interest you. Someday, a South American cultured dude may get a high rank possision and make the government greedy, and corrupted...You know, it's just a thought...

....You have been warned...!

All The Kids Are So Stupid

On my daily YouTube search for awesome videos, I stumbled upon another Schmoyoho Auto-tuned the news called "Get Money, Turn Gay -Songify the news 1." Although the name of the song sounds... inappropriate, the content of the it is much interesting and inspiring.

From Vermin Suprime, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and the Republican President Debate, the part which stimulated my neurons the most ( with it's melody and meaning) was the one of Mr. John Stossel, a US consumer reporter, investigative journalist, author and libertarian columnist. He "sang" about a particular group of people who don't "pay attention" to the world, who are too distracted with "cheer leading" and "rock concerts". He said that they can't make good choices to elect a suitable President, because they are dumb. He was referring about us, teenagers, "kids" old enough to vote.

His choice of words were poor while giving his point of view in the subject, this made me disagree with him instantily, but after thinking through the idea behind the statement, it gave me a funny feeling to my stomach. Maybe I'm wrong, but most teenagers at Fremd have chosen a party to follow and know what is going on with the country's politics and economy (We have to take Survey, for crying out loud! How can we ignore what is going on if we are in that class!) We know what we want, and we can make our own decisions for the future of the country and of all. But yet again, in other parts of the country, eighteen-year-olds may not have the education or information that we have. They may not be aware of what is going inside the country at this time, or what is happening in other nations that influence the US as well.

Are we educated enough to make good decisions? Should we wait until our early twenties, when our brains are fully developed, and when we have more understanding of what is going on in the US to begin voting? Or are we, at this moment and age, mentally prepared and wise enough to make mature decisions for ourselves and the rest of the country?

Stossel clearly thinks that we should grow up a more until our first vote, but the correct answer doesn't belong to him, or me.

....What do you think?
